Apple Expands Beats Headphones Line With Solo Buds And Beats Solo 4: Prices, Specifications, Features

The Beats Solo 4, succeeding the Beats Solo 3, features an improved design and comes with a personalised Spatial Audio feature.

Apple has unveiled two new wireless audio offerings: the Beats Solo Buds and the Beats Solo 4. These freshly unveiled products are designed to work with both Apple and Android devices and support USB Type-C charging. The Beats Solo Buds boast seamless one-touch pairing and provide up to 18 hours of total playback time. On the other hand, the Beats Solo 4, succeeding the Beats Solo 3, feature an improved design and comes with a personalised Spatial Audio feature with dynamic head tracking, offering up to 50 hours of battery life.

The Beats Solo Buds are priced at $79.99 (approximately Rs 6,700) and will be up for sale in the US from June onwards. They are available in four colours: Arctic Purple, Matte Black, Storm Gray, and Transparent Red.

In contrast, the Beats Solo 4, currently accessible in the US through the official Apple website for $199.99 (approximately Rs 16,700), will begin shipping on May 2. They come in Cloud Pink, Matte Black, and Slate Blue colour options.

Beats Solo Buds feature dual-layer drivers and laser-cut vents, purportedly enhancing audio performance. They come with four ear tip sizes - XS, S, M, and L. These true wireless earphones are advertised to provide seamless one-touch pairing. The 'b' button on the earphones supports customizable on-ear functions, allowing users to control music, volume, take calls, and activate a relevant voice assistant with a press. These customisations and more can be managed through the Beats mobile app.

The charging case of the Beats Solo Buds supports USB Type-C connectivity. They are claimed to offer a battery life of up to 18 hours, with five minutes of charging providing an hour of playback time. Apple highlights that with the iPhone 15 or supported Android devices, these earphones can also be charged directly from your phone, tablet, or laptop.

The Beats Solo 4 wireless headphones feature 40mm drivers and a personalised Spatial Audio feature with dynamic head tracking. They are designed with customisable sliders and angled earcups to ensure a comfortable fit. The 'b' button on the headphones enables users to control music playback and volume, handle calls, and activate voice assistants. They are also compatible with the Beats app.

The headphones reportedly provide up to 50 hours of battery life, with a 10-minute charge claimed to offer up to five hours of playback. The Beats Solo 4 also support a wired connection via a 3.5mm audio cable and weigh 217g.
