Apple Music, App Store Resume Services After Facing Brief Outage
Apple's services, including Music or News, appear to be unaffected by the outage in India.
Apple late on Monday acknowledged that its music service was experiencing difficulties. At the same time, users were also reporting issues with a number of the company's other services, including the App Store. According to outage monitoring website, Downdetector.com, thousands of users were impacted by the outage, including those attempting to access the Apple support service and the App Store, as reported by Reuters. During the peak of the outage, over 3,300 users reported difficulties streaming Apple Music, while nearly 2,200 reported problems with the App Store in the United States.
Apple's status page confirmed that Apple Music, Apple Music Radio, and iTunes Match were all facing an ongoing outage.
In addition, users were experiencing issues with Apple News, as highlighted by the status page. However, Apple has yet to respond to Reuters regarding the cause of the outage or to indicate whether other services were also impacted as indicated by Downdetector.
