Apple Health VP Dr. Sumbul Desai To Visit India Next Month For 'BioAsia 2023'

Vice President of Health at Apple, Dr. Sumbul Desai is slated to visit India next month for BioAsia 2023.

Vice President of Health at Apple, Dr. Sumbul Desai is slated to visit India next month for BioAsia 2023 -- the 20th edition of Telangana’s annual flagship event, the media has reported. Dr. Desai is also leading the regulatory and quality teams at Apple.

Dr. Desai will also participate in a chat with Dr. Sangita Reddy, the Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals at BioAsia in Hyderabad on February 25.  BioAsia is an annual international event focused on Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharma, Medtech, and Healthtech sectors and it is hosted by the Government of Telangana.

Cupertino, California-headquartered Apple is currently working with the best in the medical field, including Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, the American Heart Association, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Johns Hopkins University, to conduct landmark health studies and advance discovery with the ResearchKit and CareKit platforms.

The tech giant has recently launched its ECG, Irregular Heart Rhythm and Women's Health features to continue its work in health. Apple also recently worked with the CDC to launch the Apple COVID-19 app and website, to provide up-to-date resources and guidance to people across the US.

The tech giant has been introducing a range of innovative features that are aimed at helping Apple's users to track their overall health and fitness since the rollout of its Health app in 2014 and the launch of the Apple Watch in 2015.

To recall, the company launched the Apple Watch Series 8 alongside the Apple Watch Ultra in September 2022 as its next generation of wearables. Apple also launched an affordable Apple Watch SE (2022). The new Apple Watch Series 8 is swim-proof, dust-proof and crack resistant, as per the company.
