This isn’t the first time Zepto has faced criticism for its pricing practices. Earlier, another Bengaluru resident highlighted similar discrepancies on the app, raising questions about the platform’s pricing strategies.

Users Reaction to the Different Pricing Issue
One of the users said, “Two months since this whole thing broke and if they've not fixed it yet, it won't ever be. Maybe ppl should get back to shopping the old fashioned way and put their money where their mouth is.” Whereas another one commented, “t's the kind of robbery that most platforms have started. Device based, location based, buying power based.”
The parallels between Uber’s pricing model and Zepto’s practices have amplified calls for greater accountability in the digital commerce ecosystem. For now, Zepto is yet to respond to the allegations raised by Vinita Singh.
