Tamil Nadu: Retired Sub-Inspector Builds Temple In Memory Of His Parents In Madurai

Ramesh was busy with his work as a cop but as soon as he got his retirement, he decided to first construct the temple for their parents.

Chennai: A retired sub-inspector of police has built a temple in the memory of his deceased parents at his home in Madurai. He regularly takes to worship at the temple and also performs poojas. 

According to a tweet on ANI, Ramesh Babu, Retired SI said, "I wanted to build a temple for them but work kept me busy. So I built it after retirement and worship them every day. My parents died after I built this temple, but they're with me."

Ramesh was busy with his work as a cop but as soon as he got his retirement, he decided to first construct the temple for their parents.

He built the temple and also placed two sculptures of his parents.

In December 2021, another temple built by a 41-year-old man for his parents in Tirupur made news. The man built the temple on two acres of agricultural land and conducted a Kumbabishekam, a festival that marks the inauguration of the temple, in Tirupur. 

The man, Ramesh Kumar, lost his father NR Marimuthu in 1991 and his mother 10 years later in 2001. However, he could not accept the loss and hence he decided to construct a temple as a mark of their remembrance. In 2018, he bought agricultural land for 2 acres and the construction was completed in 2019. The festival was inaugurated in a grand manner after the pandemic in 2021.
