No Idea About Treatment Given To Jayalalithaa, OPS Tells Arumugasamy Commission

Chennai: AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam on Monday informed justice (retired) Arumugasamy Commission of inquiry that he does not have any idea about the ailment nor the treatment provided to late TN CM J Jayalalithaa. Appearing before the panel on Monday, he said that he last saw the former CM at the inauguration of Metro Rail corridor in Chennai.
According to a report on The New Indian Express, the Arumugasamy Commission raised over 70 questions to O Panneerselvam for over three hours. During the probe, OPS reportedly said that he does not know anything about the ailments of Jayalalithaa, the medical treatment given to her and the doctors who provided treatment for her.

Also, former TN FM Panneerselvam said, he never personally visited Jayalalithaa at the hospital and he got to know about the health updates only through then chief secretary Rama Mohana Rao.
On Monday, OPS appeared before the commission after he skipped multiple summonses. However, the commission was formed after the former FM raised suspicions over the death of Jayalalithaa.

Meanwhile, Sasikala's sister-in-law Ilavarasi also appeared before the commission and said that she saw Jaya a couple of times during her hospitalisation for 75 days in Apollo Hospitals. She also said, it was Sasikala who took care of the former CM.
