NEET 2021: DMK Responsible For The Death Of Medical Aspirant, Says AIADMK Leader
The state government did not provide proper information about NEET and as a result both students and their parents are in a confused state, said the AIADMK leader.
Chennai: The ruling DMK is responsible for the death of the 19-year-old medical aspirant in Salem district, said AIADMK leader and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, Palaniswami said that ahead of the election, the DMK had announced that they would cancel the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) immediately after forming the government and the same was mentioned in their election manifesto but they did not cancel the examination till date.
Students & their parents were totally confused over the conduction of NEET exam here. There is no clear stand taken by the DMK govt on NEET. Yesterday, a student, Danush committed suicide. “The state government did not provide proper information about the examination. As a result, both students and their parents are in a confused state. Even when I asked the chief minister directly whether the examination would be conducted or not, he did not give a straight answer,” he said.
If only the state government would have given a proper answer regarding the examination, students would have prepared well for the examination, he said and added that students did not prepare well for the examination as the government continued to assure that the examination would be cancelled and kept them in a confused state.
