Kerala has been receiving light to moderate showers for the past 12 days and sometimes heavy rains have lashed out parts of the state. Now for the next day heavy rainfall spell to continue in Kerala and Mahe.

Due to a cyclonic circulation over the Southwest Bay of Bengal, a North-South trough is extending in the Southeast direction from Madhya Pradesh to Kerala, the possibility of a huge downpour in Kerala.
