'Dominant Community Killing Locals': Puthiya Tamilagam Seeks Centre's Help To Curb Violence In Tamil Nadu
Krishnasamy alleged that members of the dominant community were responsible for killings, creating panic, and pressuring locals to abandon their properties.
According to PTI, Puthiya Tamilagam president Krishnasamy said, "For the past few years in Tamil Nadu, the dominant community has been responsible for killing locals and creating panic, forcing them to abandon their properties. A nexus of local politicians, police, brokers, and criminals has been involved."
"Despite multiple appeals to the state government, no serious actions have been taken. I appeal to the Central government to use the agencies to curb the escalating violence," he said.

Last year, Krishnasamy urged Tamil Nadu government to order a detailed inquiry into the electrocution of 11 people during a temple procession in Thanjavur.
Expressing his condolences over the deaths, Krishnasamy said an inquiry should be held on why, how and the reason for the electrocution, to bring out the truth.
Eight men and three boys lost their lives while 17 others sustained injuries as a result of electrocution. According to authorities, the tragic incident occurred when a temple chariot made contact with a high-tension electricity line during a procession in the early hours of the day in April 2022.
