The Indian Air Force's transport aircraft Chinook, carrying 41 workers who were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand, arrived in Rishikesh. The aircraft has been flown to AIIMS Rishikesh from Chinyalisaur for the workers' further medical examination. This comes a day after rescue workers pulled out all the workers trapped in Silkyara tunnel in a multi-agency rescue operation.

- Ambulances arrived as the IAF's transport aircraft Chinook, carrying 41 rescued workers, landed in Rishikesh.
- After the aircraft arrived in Rishikesh, Assistant Professor, Hospital Administration, AIIMS Dr. Narendra Kumar said that none of the workers suffered any injuries. "All 41 workers have been brought to us...None of them have suffered any injuries...Main role is of psychiatry and internal medicine and doctors," he said.
- Kumar said that the workers are not under any sort of mental stress, but still, teams of psychiatrists and doctors of internal medicine will do their initial examination. "They don't seem to be under any sort of mental stress. Still, we have teams of psychiatrists and doctors of internal medicine who will do their initial examination. After that evaluation, blood investigation, chest x-ray and whatever other requirements the doctors deem correct will be done. After all of these, we will decide who needs observation or discharge," he said.
- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced an incentive of Rs 50,000 each for all the personnel who worked in the rescue operation inside the Silkyara tunnel.
- 'Igas Bagwal' will be celebrated at the CM PS Dhami's residence in Dehradun this evening to mark the successful rescue of all 41 workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel, as reported by ANI.
