UP: 7 Dead Including 1 Child In Accident On Yamuna Expressway, PM Modi Expresses Condolences

UP CM Yogi Adityanath also expressed condolences over the death of the victims and directed the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured. 

New Delhi: At least seven people were killed and two were injured in a car’s collision with another vehicle on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning, police told news agency ANI. As per the reports, the deceased included three women, three men, and a child. They were going to attend a wedding function in Noida as per the reports. 

“Seven people died and two others were injured after a vehicle hit their car on Yamuna Expressway near Mathura. Among the seven killed, three are women, three men and one child died on the spot. Another child and a man are hospitalized. They were going to a wedding in Noida," Mathura Superintendent of Police (Rural), Shrish Chandra told ANI.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the kin of those who died in the accident. 

“The road accident in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this accident. With this, I wish the injured a speedy recovery,” said a tweet by the Prime Minister’s office. 

On the other hand, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also expressed condolences over the death of the victims and directed the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured. 

“UP CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the death of people in a road accident on Yamuna Expressway near Mathura district. Praying for peace to the departed souls, the Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved families,” said a tweet by the Chief Minister’s Office.

It also added, “The Chief Minister has directed the officials of the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured.”
