PM Modi To Unveil Mega Development Projects Worth Over Rs 42,000 In Uttar Pradesh Today

PM Modi will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 42,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in a public programme on Sunday, where he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 42,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh at around 12 noon. Following this, at around 2:15 PM, PM Modi will reach Varanasi and disburse the first instalment under the Mahatari Vandana Yojana in Chhattisgarh via video conferencing, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Uttar Pradesh includes the inauguration, dedication, and foundation stone laying of various development initiatives. These include:

15 Airport Projects For Civil Aviation Sector

PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 15 airport projects across the country worth more than Rs 9800 crore. This includes 12 new Terminal Buildings and the foundation stone laying of three new Terminal Buildings, the statement read.

Light House Project for Affordable Housing

Under the Light House Project (LHP), PM Modi will inaugurate projects in Lucknow and Ranchi, providing more than 2000 affordable flats with modern infrastructure. The innovative construction technology employed in these projects aims to offer sustainable and futuristic living experiences.

Road Connectivity

The Prime Minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of several road projects worth more than Rs 19,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh. These projects aim to improve connectivity, reduce traffic congestion, and lead to socio-economic development in the region, the release mentioned.

Rail Infrastructure

PM Modi will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for multiple rail projects worth around Rs 8200 crore in Uttar Pradesh. These projects include doubling and electrification of key rail sections, as well as the inauguration of new rail lines and the dedication of bypass lines.

Sewage Treatment Plants

During his visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate and dedicate multiple sewage treatment plants and other projects in Prayagraj, Jaunpur, and Etawah, emphasising the government's commitment to environmental sustainability.
