Mulayam Singh Yadav Health Update: SP Founder's Condition Still Critical, Medanta Hospital Says
On October 2, when Mulayam Singh Yadav's condition continued to deteriorate, he was moved to the intensive care unit. In July, he had also been taken to the hospital.
The condition of Mulayam Singh Yadav hasn't improved, it still remains critical and the Samajwadi Party founder is being administered life-saving drugs, Medanta Hospital said in a bulletin on Friday, reported news agency ANI. The 82-year-old former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh has been receiving treatment at the hospital since August 22. On October 2, when his condition continued to deteriorate, he was moved to the intensive care unit. In July, he had also been taken to the hospital.
Yadav is still admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. There is no change in his condition when compared to Thursday's bulletin of Medanta Hospital.

After Mulayam Yadav was transferred to the intensive care unit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the leader of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, and promised him all the assistance possible.
K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, contacted Akhilesh Yadav earlier this week to inquire about the health of his father. Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, met Mulayam Singh Yadav at the Medanta hospital last month.
Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, paid the hospital a visit on Wednesday. When reporters questioned him about Yadav's health, he responded, "There is some improvement. But we cannot say that he is out of the 'risk zone'. We will know more in a day or two."
Yadav, one of Uttar Pradesh's most well-known politicians, has served as the state's Chief Minister for three terms. Yadav served as the Union government's defence minister and is a 10-time MLA and seven-time Lok Sabha MP.
