Jaya Prada Issued Another Non-Bailable Warrant In Case Over Violation Of Model Code Of Conduct
Jaya Prada has been considered "absconding" in two cases linked to violation of the code of conduct after she failed to appear for a court hearing despite repeated notices and non-bailable warrants.
A special MP/MLA Court in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad has issued a non-bailable warrant against former Bharatiya Janata Party MP and actress Jaya Prada in connection with the case of violation of the code of conduct. The matter is scheduled to be heard on September 12. She was earlier sent a warrant in connection with the case in March this year but she did not appear before the court citing health issues.
The former BJP MP from Rampur has been considered "absconding" in two cases linked to the violation of the code of conduct during 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The decision was made after Jaya Prada failed to appear for a court hearing despite repeated notices and non-bailable warrants against her.
CrPC order 82 was issued by the MP/MLA court in March in Rampur for her non-appearance even after issuing non-bailable warrant several times. Senior Prosecution Officer Amarnath Tiwari said that the 2019 election code of conduct case against Jaya Prada was registered in the court of the Special MP/MLA Court, Rampur.
The non-bailable warrant was issued by MP/MLA Magistrate Court Judge Shobhit Bansal due to her non-appearance in court on the previous dates.
In a report sent by Inspector Ranji Trivedi, it was noted that the accused was protecting herself and her mobile was switched off. After this, a demand was made in court to take action under Section 82 of the CrPC against the accused, Jaya Prada.
