PM Modi To Flag Off Mumbai-Goa, Four Other Vande Bharat Trains On June 27

Apart from the train inauguration, PM Modi will also attend an event to mark the culmination of the Virangana Rani Durgavati Balidan Diwas and Rani Durgavati Gourav Yatra.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off five Vande Bharat trains during his visit to Madhya Pradesh on June 27. He will also attend an event to mark the culmination of the Virangana Rani Durgavati Balidan Diwas and Rani Durgavati Gourav Yatra. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “PM will flag off the Bhopal-Indore and Bhopal-Jabalpur Vande Bharat trains from the state capital on June 27.” The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Bangalore-Hooghly, Ranchi-Patna and Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat trains via video link. The flag off ceremony of Mumbai-Goa train was scheduled on June 3, but was postponed due to the Odisha triple train accident.

Apart from the train inauguration, PM Modi will also digitally address the BJP workers from 10 lakh booths across the country, ahead of the state Assembly elections scheduled later this year, BJP state unit chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma said.

"On June 22, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch the Virangana Rani Durgavati Gaurav Yatra from Balaghat. It will culminate in Shahdol on June 27," CM Chouhan said. “On June 22, the yatra will start from four other regions, namely Chhindwara to Shahdol, Singrampur to Shahdol, Kalinjar Fort (birthplace of Durgavati in Uttar Pradesh) to Shahdol and Dhouni to Shahdol,” he added.

Notably, Virangana Rani Durgavati, who sacrificed her life fighting against Mughal ruler Akbar's forces, is considered a symbol of valour and self-respect, Chouhan said.

During his visit, PM Modi will also take part in a programme in Shahdol for the eradication of sickle cell anaemia.

"The 'mera booth, sabse mazboot' program to be organised in Bhopal on June 27 is going to give a new resolve and a new power to our positive politics," PM Modi said in a tweet in Hindi.

"The day will witness a dialogue with lakhs of energetic BJP workers committed to the world's largest democracy," he added.
