Kerala To Create Databank Of People Above 30 Years For Early Detection Of Diseases: Veena George
The Minister also said that Kerala will use Indian and modern medical facilities to transform Ernakulam into a center for health tourism in the state.
Chennai: The Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Saturday said that a databank for people above 30 years of age will be set up by the government for early detection of health issues among the population and to treat lifestyle-related diseases. On Saturday, the state Health Minister made an announcement about the project while inaugurating "Hridayathil Hibi Eden" project by Lok Sabha MP Hibi Eden to perform angioplasty for 100 needy patients.
The Minister also inaugurated the Gastroenterology Department of Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital at Kochi, which was renovated by the government recently.

According to a report on ANI, the Minister said, the Kerala government is creating a database of people above 30 years of age in all households for detecting health issues at an early stage and to provide them with treatment. She said, the work for the project will be undertaken with the help of MPs, MLAs, and local body leaders.
Further, the Minister said that the government is also mulling to learn about the type of cancer prevalent in the state and to take measures to curb the spread of the disease. Ernakulam can also be developed into a district for health tourism facilitating the people from other states and countries to avail the best treatment in the world.
The Minister also said that Kerala will use Indian and modern medical facilities to transform Ernakulam into a center for health tourism in the state and as a facility to provide the best treatment in the country.
