In the video, the woman sub-inspector, during her routine traffic check, can be seen stopping the bike on which the three young men were riding.
She took away their bike keys and fined them for violating the traffic rules. They were not only riding triples but none of them had their helmets on.
After being fined, the boys paid the fine but one of them told her that the money was meant to be paid towards his college fees.
Hearing this, the police sub-inspector gave the boy a motherly hug and returned his money. She also seemed to be talking to him to pacify him while she hugged him, as he was sad to lose his college fees money in paying the challan.
Several social media users commented on the video, praising the cop for her humanity. An X user wrote: "Heart touching incident", while another said: "So emotional video...Hats off to this lady sub inspector".
"Duty with humanity. I wish police of the entire country would become like her," another social media user commented.
