Karnataka Governor 'Receives Another Complaint On CM Siddaramaiah’s Involvement In 'MUDA Scam'

Snehamayi Krishna’s complaint asserted that despite CM Siddaramaiah’s repeated claims of adhering to the law, there was a clear violation in the allocation of 14 sites by MUDA to his wife.

A new complaint has been lodged with Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, alleging Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's involvement in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam on Tuesday. The complaint filed by social activist Snehamayi Krishna accused the Chief Minister of misusing his power and violating legal procedures in connection with the allocation of land by MUDA.

The complaint, which has been accepted by the Governor's office, specifically demanded action into the alleged illegalities surrounding a deed of relinquishment related to a property in question, according to a report on IANS.

A relinquishment deed is a legal document used to transfer ownership of a property from one co-owner to another. When a layout is formed, the land intended for parks, roads, and civic amenities is typically registered in the name of the Governor by the landowners.

Krishna’s complaint asserted that despite CM Siddaramaiah’s repeated claims of adhering to the law, there was a clear violation in the allocation of 14 sites by MUDA to his wife. The complaint alleged that Siddaramaiah’s wife had initially submitted a relinquishment letter, which was later used to allocate the sites on a 50-50 basis, a move the activist deems illegal.

The complaint demanded that the Governor take serious action against those involved, including the cancellation of all such relinquishing letters registered in the Governor's name by MUDA. Additionally, Krishna has called for the immediate dismissal of the Fine Provision Clerk (FDC) and other officers involved in the alleged scam, as well as legal action under the relevant provisions of law.

"I have filed complained with you and other agencies against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah misusing his power and allegedly creating fake documents in his family members’ names and getting valuable 14 sites from MUDA. I have also filed a private complaint in court," the complaint read, as per the report.

Meanwhile, this is the third complaint registered against CM Siddaramaiah to the Governor.
