Karnataka Weather: Bengaluru Heats Up As Temperatures Soar; Mysuru & Davangere Drop To 12°C

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dry conditions across Karnataka with fog and mist likely at isolated places over Interior Karnataka during the early morning hours.

As Karnataka experiences fluctuating weather patterns, Davangere and Mysuru recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12°C, making them the coldest places in the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dry conditions across Karnataka with fog and mist likely at isolated places over Interior Karnataka during the early morning hours.

Despite cooler nights, daytime temperatures are expected to remain above normal by 2-4°C across Karnataka, indicating a warmer trend. However, no significant change is expected in minimum temperatures.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast

In Bengaluru, IMD has forecast a clear sky, with fog/mist during the early morning hours. Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 33°C and 16°C, respectively. The relative humidity is currently at 25%, and winds are blowing at 25 km/h.

On February 5, Bengaluru recorded a temperature of 27.86°C, with the IMD predicting that maximum temperatures will continue to rise in the coming days, as per a report on The Mint. The sun rose at 6:45 AM and is expected to set at 6:22 PM, giving the city a relatively warm and sunny day.

Summer May Arrive Early

According to IMD experts, Karnataka could experience an early onset of summer, possibly by mid-February. Humidity levels are expected to rise to 35%, making the weather hotter and more uncomfortable, reported Free Press Journal.

As the state witnesses these changing weather patterns, authorities advise people to stay updated on forecasts and take necessary precautions.

Meanwhile, Chennai is also facing misty weather delaying flight operations. The IMD said, "Dry weather prevailed over Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area. Generally dry weather is likely to prevail over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal area."

In Chennai, IMD predicted, "Mist/Haze is likely to prevail during morning hours at isolated pockets of Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal area."
