Gujarat: Massive Fire Breaks Out At Market In Nadiad 'Due To Short Circuit', Firefighting Operation Underway

New Delhi: A fire broke out at a market in Nadiad, Gujarat on Sunday, sparking immediate firefighting efforts to contain the blaze. As per inputs, firefighting operation is underway.

Dixit Patel, District Fire Officer told news agency ANI that "In Ahmedabadi area of Nadiad, a fire broke out at 3 shops and two 4 wheelers also caught fire. From investigation, we got to know that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. There are no casualties...fire is under control now."

Uttar Pradesh: Fire Erupts At Prayagraj Timber Shop
In another incident on Sunday morning, a fire broke out at a timber shop in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, prompting a swift response from fire officials. According to reports from ANI, authorities were alerted to the blaze at around 3:55 am. No casualties have been reported.

"We received information that a fire broke out in a timber shop at around 3.55 am," Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Rajiv Kumar Pandey was quoted as saying by ANI. Two fire tenders subsequently reached the spot. Pandey said the shop is about 100 feet long and, initially, they used one fire tender at the front and one at the back to douse the raging flames.
