While it now takes two to three hours to make the trip, the expressway will reduce it to just a 15-minute journey. In addition, the construction of this short route will provide direct access to the Jewar airport in Noida from two jurisdictions.

We are talking about the Faridabad-Jewar Expressway.

While the construction got underway in June 2023. The National Highway Authority of India expects that this route will be finished by June 2025, or the following year. It would be directly connected to Sector 65 in Faridabad from the airport being built in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.

This expressway will benefit the passengers going to the Jewar airport from Gurugram and other parts of Haryana. It will just take 15 minutes to drive this distance. It currently takes more than two hours to get from Faridabad to Jewar.

From Gautam Buddha Nagar's Vallabhnagar, Ampur, and Jhuppa villages, it will travel to Faridabad via the Haryana villages of Bahpur, Kalan, Mohana, and Narhawali. Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal (KGP), also known as the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway, the Delhi-Mumbai highway, and Kundli, Manesar, Palwal (KMP), also known as the Western Peripheral Expressway, would all be connected to this highway.

Faridabad-Jewar Expressway: Cost And Size

According to the NHAI, it will cost about Rs 2,414 crore to develop this 31-kilometer road. Once completed, commercial and industrial expansions will accelerate, boosting the National Capital Region's economy.
