Army Launches Search Operation In J-K's Rajouri After Suspicious Movement Near LoC

New Delhi: Army launched a massive search operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district following a suspected activity, officials said on Monday, reported news agency PTI.
According to the officials, the operation in a vast border area in the Nowshera sector was launched after the alert troops picked up a suspicious movement of suspected terrorists trying to infiltrate from across the LoC.
Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, PRO(Defence) Jammu said, "Anti-infiltration operation is in progress along the Line of Control in the Nowshera Sector of Jammu & Kashmir; more details are awaited," reported ANI.

The officials said that the search operation is underway and further details are awaited.
Last month, in a similar incident, the Indian Army had launched a search operation in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir after observing some suspicious movement along the Line Of Control (LOC).
According to officials, a brief exchange of fire had occurred in the Poonch district.
"Search operations underway in the Poonch sector, after observing suspicious movement along LOC. Indian Army troops cordoned off the area and a brief exchange of fire occurred," officials had informed.
