WI vs SL: Yuvraj Singh 'Welcomes' Kieron Pollard In Exclusive Six-6s Club
Kieron Pollard destroyed Sri Lanka's bowling attack to power Windies to a comprehensive four-wicket win against Sri Lanka at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua on Wednesday and take 1-0 lead in the 4-match T20 series.
West Indies captain Kieron Pollard scripted history in the T20 match against Sri Lanka to join the elite list. On March 3, the 33-year-old became the second cricketer in the world to hit six sixes in a single over in T20 cricket.
West Indies' limited-overs skipper hammered six sixes in six balls off leg spinner Akila Dananjaya's over in WI vs SL first T20 match. Pollard is the third player in international cricket to hit 6 sixes in a single over. Pollard and Yuvraj have hit 6-ball 6 sixes in T20 cricket, while Herschelle Gibbs smashed 6 sixes off an over in the 2007 ODI World Cup.

Reacting to Pollard's milestone, Yuvraj Singh on Thursday posted a tweet to welcome him to the elite group of batsmen who have hit six sixes in an over. Yuvraj, who himself has hit six sixes off Stuart Broad's over, wrote on Twitter "Welcome to the club @KieronPollard55 #sixsixes you beauty !!!"
"After the third one ( when he thought about hitting six sixes in the over) -- I felt after hitting a couple of sixes, I understood how the pitch plays," said Pollard in the post-match presentation ceremony.
"It was important to be positive and play your shots on that pitch, back yourselves to clear the boundary -- just happy that I managed to contribute to the team's cause at that point of time," said Pollard.
