'It's Sad To See...': Harmanpreet Kaur's Message For Fans After India's SF Loss In Women's T20 World Cup
India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur thanked fans for 'believing in the journey of Blues' and wrote that the team will bounce back strongly to put out a great show.
India women's cricket team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur took to Twitter to share a heartfelt post for fans following India's heartbreaking loss to Australia in ICC Women's T20 World Cup semi-final on Thursday, February 22 at Newlands Cricket Ground, South Africa. India lost the nail-biting thriller by just five runs. Harmanpreet's bizarre run out during a crunch moment in the semi-final clash was one of the major deciding factors of the match's result. A visibly heartbroken Indian skipper was seen crying after India's defeat.
Taking to Twitter, Harmanpreet thanked fans for 'believing in the journey of Blues' and wrote that the team will bounce back strongly to put out a great show.
"This is for all our fans across the globe who have supported us throughout this World Cup . I thank you for believing in our journey. I know as a cricket fan it's sad to see your team loose . All I can say is that we will come back strongly and put a great show out there," Harmanpreet tweeted.

Following the defeat, Harmanpreet was spotted wearing sunglasses and when she was asked the reason for the same, she said that she doesn't want India to see her crying.
"I don't want my country to see my crying, hence I am wearing these glasses, I promise, we will improve and won't let out nation down like this again," Harmanpreet said during the post-match presentation.
In the 15th over of India’s chase, Harmanpreet’s bat got stuck into the ground while running. As a result, she was runout.
"Can't be unluckier than this, to get that momentum back when me and Jemi were batting. And to lose after that, we didn't expect this today. The way I got runout, can't be unluckier than that. Putting in the effort was more important. We discussed about fighting till the last ball. The result didn't go our way, but I am happy with the way we played in this tournament. We know we have a good batting line up even if we lose early wickets," she added.
