Tokyo Paralympics: Praveen Kumar Wins Silver Medal In High Jump, Breaks Asian Record

Tokyo Paralympics: Praveen Kumar set a new Asian record in Men's High Jump (T64) with a jump of 2.05m. 

Praveen Kumar won a silver medal in the high jump at the Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020. He set a new Asian record in Men's High Jump (T64) with a jump of 2.05m. 

With Praveen's silver, India's medal tally has gone up to 11 medals. India had 12 Paralympic medals before the start of the tournament this year, now India has 23 medals. This was Praveen's debut at Paralympic Games. 

Praveen was also congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Proud of Praveen Kumar for winning the Silver medal at the Paralympics. This medal is the result of his hard work and unparalleled dedication. Congratulations to him. Best wishes for his future endeavours," tweets PM Narendra Modi

India has 2 golds, 6 silvers and 3 bronze medals.
