India's challenge in Table Tennis in the Tokyo Olympic 2020 ended with Sharath Kamal losing to defending Olympic and world champion Ma Long of China in the third round on Tuesday.  Sharath gave a tough fight to his formidable opponent in the first three games but eventually got beaten 1-4.  Maa Long defeated him 7-11, 11-8, 11-13, 4-11, 4-11.  Manika Batra also failed to progress beyond the third round in women's singles. G Sathiyan and Sutirtha Mukherjee also lost early in their singles matches.
