Background

Tokyo Olympics 2020: The Olympic Games have started from today in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. On the 10th day of Tokyo Olympics 2020, the Indian women's hockey team made history by reaching the semi-finals of the Olympic Games for the first time by defeating Australia in the quarterfinals.  After the women's team, on Tuesday, the 11th day of these games, India's men's hockey team also has a chance to create history by reaching the final.  But before that, the team will have to overcome the challenge of Belgium in the semi-finals.  Shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor will begin his Tokyo 2020 campaign with the qualification round.  At the end of the day, India will present its challenge in wrestling, with Sonam Malik taking to the mat in the women's 62kg category. Javelin throw athlete Annu Rani will compete in the first match of the day in athletics.

The Olympic Games were postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. But after a year, the Olympic Games are being played in the Covid 19 epidemic with a delay.

Due to the epidemic, many big changes will be seen in the Olympic Games.  A very strict bio bubble has been created to protect the players from the threat of Coronavirus.  Not only this, the Tokyo Olympics are being played without spectators.

The pandemic, however, has greatly increased the difficulties of the players.  Due to the Coronavirus epidemic, players will have to go through the Covid-19 test every day.  No player will get entry on the field without the Covid-19 test report.  Not only this, if a player has reached the final and his report has come positive, then he will have to withdraw from the medal race.

125 players are participating in the Tokyo Olympics from India.
