Sanju Samson Sends 'Long Time Fan' Shashi Tharoor A Special Gift, Congress MP Says 'Ready To Cheer'

Shashi Tharoor has always been a constant supporter of Samson and has been vocal socially about his talent, credibility, and potential.

New Delhi: The bond between Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor and Kerala native, cricketer, Sanju Samson is not hidden from the public forum. This friendship and camaraderie further strengthened as Congress MP, on Tuesday, tweeted about a 'special gift' he received from the Rajasthan Royals captain.

The gift for Tharoor from Samson is a customised Rajasthan Royals (RR) jersey especially for him, with Congress MP's name and jersey number of Rajasthan Royals’ captain at back. Donning the Rajasthan Royals jersey, Tharoor got himself clicked and tweeted with enthusiasm. "Ready to cheer you guys onward & upward next year," his tweet read. 

Tharoor has always been a constant supporter of Samson and has been vocal socially about his talent, credibility, and potential. Thiruvananthapuram MP has oftentimes touted Samson to be the "next MS Dhoni".

Sanju Samson had his fair bit of off-the-form period, he recently featured in the T20I series against Ireland but has not been picked for the 2nd and 3rd T20I slated against England.
