Tokyo Olympics 2020: 80,000 Covid Tests To Be Done Every Day, No Entry Without Negative Report

Tokyo Olympics 2020: Given the threat of coronavirus, the organizers have decided to conduct about 80,000 tests every day. Entry in the event will be allowed only with a negative report.

Tokyo Olympic 2020: The Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo from July 23. The organizers of the Olympic Games have taken tough decisions to deal with the threat of the coronavirus. Given the importance of the Olympic Games, 80,000 coronavirus tests will be done every day. Entry in the event without a negative report has also been banned.

11,500 athletes, about 79,000 administrators, support staff, and media personnel will be present in the Olympic Games. To prevent the infection of corona virus, every person who participates in the Olympic Games will be tested daily. The organizing committee of the Olympic Games 2020 has arranged for 230 doctors, and 310 nurses to monitor and conduct these tests. No player or staff member will be allowed to attend the event without a Covid-19 negative test report.

The organizing committee of the Olympic Games informed on Saturday that between July 1 and July 15, 15,000 people entered Japan. Of these, 15 people have tested positive for corona. 44,000 people have been deployed to the Olympic Games for security.

Covid cases reported in Olympic village

The first case of coronavirus was reported in the sports village on Friday before the Olympic Games. IOC President Thomas Bach, however, assured that the people participating in the Olympic Games are not in danger yet, and the whole situation has been handled. 

Bach said, "From July 1 to July 16, approximately 15,000 athletes, officials, support staff, and accredited media persons have arrived in Tokyo. Everyone was tested on arrival. Only 15 out of 15,000 were found positive. This is a very low rate. People who have tested positive have been isolated. They are not a threat to the Olympic participants and the people of Japan.

The Tokyo Olympics is to be held from 23 July to 8 August. The Paralympic Games will be held in Japan after the Olympic Games.
