Manu Bhaker's Women's 10m Air Pistol Final: Even though it wasn't a good start by the Indian shooting contingent and they failed to make it to the medals round of the mixed team event in what was the only possibility of winning a medal on the opening day, India did receive a good news from the shooting arena before the day concluded.

It came, courtesy of Manu Bhaker. The 22-year-old shooter stormed into the final of the Women's 10 m air pistol shooting event. She reached there with 580 points, courtesy of V. Major and YJ Oh of Hungary and South Korea respectively both of whom had 582 points. However, in an unusual occurence, her final is not on the day of qualification.
Earlier, Sarabjot Singh had come close to qualification but fallen short on the inner 10 reading and failed to make it to the top eight that will compete for a medal, finishing ninth.
When Is Manu Bhaker's Women's 10m Air Pistol Final?
While generally the final is held on the same day as qualification, the Women's 10m Air Pistol final in which eight participants will feature with the top three getting medals, will be held on Day 2- which is July 28 (Sunday).

Manu Bhaker's Women's 10m Air Pistol is scheduled to commence at 03:30 pm (Indian Standard Time). Given her form in recent times, her performance in trials as well as the way she held her nerves in the qualification, India could expect its maiden medal in Paris Olympics 2024 on Sunday (July 28).
