Neeraj Chopra Mimics Throwing Javelin Under Water While On A Scuba Dive In Maldives, Video Goes Viral
Neeraj Chopra just simply cannot stop thinking about the sport and his javelin as the 23-year-old took to Instagram to share a video of himself mimicking throwing a javelin while on a scuba dive.
New Delhi: Champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal at Tokyo in his first-ever Olympics to give India its golden moment at the Games and win the nation's heart. The 23-year-old farmers' son from Haryana's Panipat threw the javelin to a distance of 87.58m to secure the maiden track-and-field gold medal for India at the Games.
Ever since his return from Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj has been busy giving interviews and attending events. The star athlete has finally taken some time off from his busy schedule and is currently on a vacation in Maldives. However, it seems that even during a vacation, Neeraj just simply cannot stop thinking about the sport and his javelin as the 23-year-old took to Instagram to share a video of himself mimicking throwing a javelin while on a scuba dive. The video has gone viral on social media.
"Aasman par, zameen pe, ya underwater, I'm always thinking of the javelin!
PS: Training shuru ho gayi hai," Neeraj wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

India finished 48th on the medal tally in Tokyo, with its highest medal count of seven medals. India's previous best performance in the Olympics was in the London Olympics in 2012, in which they had won six medals. Mirabai Chanu (Silver medal in Weightlifting), PV Sindhu (Bronze medal in Badminton), Bajrang Punia (Silver medal in Wrestling) and Ravi Kumar Dahiya (Silver medal in Wrestling), India's men Hockey team (Bronze medal), Lovlina Borgohain (Bronze medal in Boxing) and Neeraj Chopra (Gold medal in Javelin Throw) were India's medal winners in Games 2020.
