Unfollow Me If You're Looking For Bias Or Hatred: Harsha Bhogle Comes Up With An 'Unusual Request'

Bhogle is currently part of the IPL 2023 English commentary panel and is sharing his insights on the games of this cash-rich league.

Social media might have some pros but it comes with its own share of cons. There have been several cases of social abuses with many players and teams being the victim in the recent past.

However, even those sharing their views on the game like commentator Harsha Bhogle get his own share of backlash. But seems like the man has had enough from those who expect a certain kind of narrative or hate-mongering on Twitter.

The 61-year-old shared a social media post in which he requested those looking for bias or hate to "unfollow" him. He said that he does not like blocking people since he feels that they too have a freedom of expression.

"It might seem unusual but this is actually a request for some to unfollow me. If you are looking for bias, agendas, hatred, you can search all you want, but you won't find it here. This is a largely happy, largely cricket based platform," he wrote.

"There might be mistakes, errors of judgement but no personal dislikes. I don't like blocking people because I believe they have the freedom of expression so maybe it is best to unfollow me yourself. Cheers. We have one life, let us enjoy it along with this great game," he added.

Bhogle is currently part of the IPL 2023 English commentary panel and is sharing his insights on the games of this cash-rich league. Recently, the commentator's reaction to MS Dhoni saying he is growing older had gone viral. Bhogle was quick to say that Dhoni wasn't old but the Chennai Super Kings captain responded: "Definitely old, can't shy away from that."

In the same interview, Dhoni had mentioned that he was in the last phase of his career but expressed his disappointment at not being given the Best Catch award. Bhogle had highlighted how that meant the legendary leader was still very much competitive.
