'Diamond Laga Hua Hai': Sanju, Hardik, Suryakumar Share Fun Moment Ahead of RR vs MI Clash — WATCH

Ahead of the MI vs RR clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, captains Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya were seen sharing a light-hearted moment along with Suryakumar Yadav and Riyan Parag.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson was seen sharing a light moment with Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya. RR will host Mumbai Indians in the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 1 (Thursday).

A day before the match, the official X account of Rajasthan Royals posted a video showing Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya having a fun chat with RR vice-captain Riyan Parag.

In the video, Sanju Samson is seen holding Hardik Pandya’s glove and saying, “Bhai dekho diamond laga hua hai yaar. Ye diamond laga hua hai yaar, dekho diamond hai glove mai, pehli baar dekh raha hu yaar, diamond! Nahi yaar. Ab yeh viral hogaya, Hardik ke glove mein diamond.” (Bro, look, there's a diamond on it! There's a diamond on the glove, man. I'm seeing this for the first time—a diamond! No way. Now this is going viral: there's a diamond on Hardik's glove). Hearing this, both Hardik and Suryakumar burst into laughter. Riyan Parag also added jokingly, “Lo ho gaya viral”.

Rajasthan Royals Vs Mumbai Indians Clash

Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians have had contrasting seasons so far. Rajasthan Royals are currently in 8th position with just three wins in 10 matches, while Mumbai Indians are placed 3rd with six wins from their 10 games.

RR won their last match against Gujarat Titans, where Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the fastest century by an Indian in IPL history. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians are in top form, riding a five-match winning streak.

Sanju Samson Fitness Update

Sanju Samson is dealing with a side strain he picked up during a match against Delhi Capitals, which puts his participation in doubt for the upcoming clash against Mumbai Indians. Ahead of the game, Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid, addressing PTI's question, shared an important update on Samson’s fitness.

"Sanju is recovering well, but we just have to take it day by day. It’s a side strain, and sometimes these side strains can be a bit tricky, and we don’t want to harm him in the long run. We are monitoring it on a daily basis, and we will see how it pulls up. Every day we get reports whether he is available or not so we'll take it day-by-day and see how he goes but he is very well looked after."
