'RCB' Chants Echo In Delhi Metro After Ellyse Perry's Heroics Guide Them To WPL 2024 Final- WATCH
WPL 2024: RCB beat MI by 5 runs to seal a place in the final against DC. Following Bangalore's win, RCB chants erupted in Delhi Metro.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) managed to set up a Women's Premier League (WPL) final against Delhi Capitals (DC) after recording a thrilling win over defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in an Eliminator at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Friday (March 15). While Bangalore batted first in this must-win clash and only posted a modest 135/6 in their 20 overs, it was first Ellyse Perry's efforts with the bat powered them to that total as she chipped in with 66 (50) before she came back to take a wicket with the ball in the second innings.
RCB ended up successfully defending the score as they kept the star-studded MI batting lineup down to 130/5, to clinch the match by 5 runs. Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers for the bowling team as she ended up scalping 2 wickets for 16 runs in her 4 overs. Sobhana Asha and Sophie Molineux were also impressive registering figures of 1/13 and 1/16 respectively.

RCB will now meet DC in the WPL 2024 final on Sunday (March 17). DC had finished as the runners-up last season after losing to MI in the final and will want to go one better this time around while it has been a great comeback for RCB already who had failed to finish in top 3 last season but have made their way into the summit clash this year and are on the verge of becoming the champions.
The titular contest will also be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
