'Perfect Replacement For KL Rahul': Fans Ask BCCI To Consider Saha For WTC Final After Stumper's Blistering Knock vs LSG
After getting a 20-ball half-century, fans went crazy and urged BCCI selectors to pick Saha for the WTC final. Even former India speedster Dodda Ganesh was the first to make a comment.

Wriddhiman Saha played a terrific knock of 81 runs off 43 balls for Gujarat Titans against Lucknow Super Giants at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. Alongside Saha, Shubman Gill also smashed 94 runs off 51 deliveries and powered their team to 227/2. After the Bengal-based player finished his innings, the BCCI officials and selectors were requested to pick Saha as a replacement for the injured KL Rahul for the World Test Championship final.
Saha attacked Mohsin Khan and smashed him for back-to-back boundaries in the very first over after being asked to bat first. While batting in the powerplay, Wriddhiman hammered six boundaries and three maximums and scored 54 off those runs in just 23 balls. After getting a 20-ball half-century, fans went crazy and urged BCCI selectors to pick Saha for the WTC final. Even former India speedster Dodda Ganesh was the first to make a comment.

He is the kind of player who always keeps on working hard even knowing that he will not get selected. 🏏#WTCFinal2023 #GTvsLSG pic.twitter.com/VCMi2eMZxU
Earlier, Rahul suffered a thigh injury while sprinting towards the boundary line to save a Faf du Plessis’ cover drive off Marcus Stoinis during the LSG vs RCB IPL 2023 match. He also ruled himself out from the WTC final against Australia starting June 7 at The Oval as he will be undergoing surgery.
"As the team captain, it pains me deeply not to be able to be there during this crucial period. But, I'm confident that the boys will rise to the occasion and give their best performance as always. I'll be cheering for them from the sidelines with all of you, watching every game. @lucknowsupergiants”, he said.
"Absolutely gutted that I won't be at the Oval next month with Team India. I'll do everything I can to get back in blue and help my country. That has always been my focus and priority. @indiancricketteam".
Talking about the battle between the brothers, Gujarat Titans defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 56 runs on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. It was Wriddhiman Saha (81 runs in just 43 balls) and Shubman Gill (94 runs off 51 deliveries) who played fantastic innings and powered their team to victory.
