Virat Kohli's Send-Off To Rilee Rossouw's 'Gun Celebration' During PBKS vs RCB IPL 2024 Match Goes Viral- Watch
Virat Kohli's fiery send-off to Rilee Rossouw's 'gun celebration' during PBKS vs RCB IPL 2024 match catches the eyes of the fans. Video goes viral.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered a dominant 60-run victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 58th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2024 on May 9 (Thursday) in Dharamsala. Virat Kohli was the chief architect of RCB’s victory as it was his innings of 92 runs off just 47 balls that propelled RCB to an imposing first-innings total. However, it was his fiery send-off to the Punjab Kings batter Rilee Rossouw that caught the eyes of many.
After conceding 241 runs in the first innings, PBKS started their innings off on a poor note as they lost their first wicket in the form of Prabhsimran Singh in the very first over. Coming in to bat at number three, Rilee Rossouw instilled some hopes into the PBKS camp as he played a brilliant 61-runs knock in just 27 balls. However, what became one of the highlights of the day was when the southpaw celebrated after reaching his fifty. Rossouw reached his half-century by smashing a six off Cameron Green's delivery. He then dropped to one knee, mimicking a 'gun celebration', pointing his bat upwards as though shooting into the sky.

Virat Kohli’s Fiery Reply To Rossouw’s ‘Gun’ Celebration
On the last delivery of the ninth over, Karn Sharma claimed the wicket of the dangerous-looking RileeRossouw, who hit the ball straight to Will Jacks stationed at long-on. Upon Jacks' successful catch, an energized Virat Kohli celebrated the crucial breakthrough with the similar 'gun celebration' mimicked by Rossouw earlier.

After defeating PBKS, RCB now have five wins in their 12 matches so far and that keeps them in the contention for the playoffs race, but by the barest of margins. PBKS, on the other hand, are now eliminated from the contention for a playoffs spot.
