KKR vs SRH, IPL 2024 Final: Pat Cummins Just 3 Wickets Away From Breaking Shane Warne's 16-Year-Old IPL Record

By winning tonight's KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final, Pat Cummins has the opportunity to join an elite group of Australian players who have won an IPL season as captain.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins has an opportunity to etch his name in the history books when his team goes up against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final match today in Chennai.

If Pat Cummins manages to claim at least three wickets in KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final, he will surpass former Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne's 16-year-old record to become the highest wicket-taker in an IPL season as a captain.

The IPL 2024 Final showdown between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is set to take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both teams have their sights set on claiming their third IPL title. KKR previously lifted the trophy in 2012 and 2014, while SRH emerged victorious in 2009 and 2016.

In the IPL 2024 season, Pat Cummins has so far claimed 17 wickets in 15 IPL matches played so far, with an average of 32.24. However, to surpass Shane Warne's illustrious record, Cummins needs to make a major impact in the IPL final today.

If Cummins aims to register his name in IPL history and surpass Warne's record, he will need to take at least 3 wickets in today's KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final in Chennai.
