Krunal Pandya, Virat Kohli Guide RCB To 6-Wicket Win Over DC In IPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets to claim the top spot in the IPL 2025 points table.

DC vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season on April 27 (Sunday) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli both struck crucial half-centuries and guided the visitors to a fighting win on a two-paced surface. The win helped RCB propell to the top-spot in the IPL 2025 points table with seven wins in 10 matches.

After being put in to bat first, the Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals posted a total of 162 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their full quota of 20 overs. In reply, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru found themselves in a tricky situation, reaching 26 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 4 overs.

However it was all about Kohli and Pandya from then on. Although both struggled with timing and momentum, they stuck it out. Eventually, Krunal found his rhythm, while Kohli anchored the innings to guide RCB to their seventh win. While Kohli got out towards the end of the chase for a 47-ball 51 runs knock, Krunal Pandya played a match-winning 47-ball 73 runs knock. Tim David then came in and finished the game earlier than expected with a quickfire 19 off 5 balls.

In the end, DC looked like they were a runs short on what was a tough pitch. The dew made it even harder for them to defend the total. In the end, RCB’s class made the difference. They planned the chase well, with Kohli and Krunal guiding them through. With seven wins now, RCB are looking strong and just one more win should almost seal their playoff spot.
