Kevin Pietersen's 'Leave RCB' Suggestion For Virat Kohli: Kevin Pietersen is one of the broadcasters working in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a pundit. The former England batter did feature in the IPL as a batter and a captain himself and has been closely following the tournament ever since its inception. And now post Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) exit from IPL 2024, Pietersen has made a huge suggestion for Virat Kohli.
Pietersen reckoned that Kohli should move out of RCB, a team that he has represented in each of the seventeen seasons so far, in order to lift an IPL Trophy.

While Kohli is all set to end up as IPL 2024's Leading Run-getter and win the Orange Cap unless something dramatic happens in the next two matches, with Kohli's tally of 741 runs, 174 run more than Riyan Parag, the next batter whose team is alive in the Playoffs, his team has been eliminated from the competition yet again.
"I have said it before and I will say it again — the greats of the game in other sports have left teams to go and seek glory somewhere else. When he has tried and tried so hard — won the Orange Cap yet again and done so much yet again, and the franchise fails again. I understand for the brand of the team and the commercial value he brings to the team... But Virat Kohli deserves a trophy. He deserves to play in a team that could help him to get that trophy," Pietersen said on Star Sports.
The ex-England cricketer suggested Delhi Capitals (DC) could be a good franchise for Kohli as Kohli has a home there and can spend more time with his family.

RCB's Dream Run In IPL 2024 Ended By RR
Notably, RCB had been participating in the competition since its inaugural edition in 2008 and have taken part in every season. Despite that, they have not yet managed to get their hands to the trophy. This year too, RCB staged a dream run, winning six matches in a row in the latter half of the competition to reach the Playoffs, only to lose the Eliminator to Rajasthan Royals (RR).
