'Have Some Shame': Irfan Pathan Brutally Trolled By Fans For Criticising Hardik Pandya After MI vs LSG IPL 2024 Match
Irfan Pathan, in his post on X, highlighted a notable contrast in Mumbai Indians' performance between the last IPL season and the current one.
Former all-rounder of team India, Irfan Pathan, found himself at the receiving end of heavy trolling on social media from fans of Hardik Pandya after he criticized the Mumbai Indians (MI) captain for 'making too many mistakes on the field'.
Pathan, in his post on X (formerly Twitter), defended Jasprit Bumrah but slammed captain Hardik Pandya following MI's 4-wicket loss to Lucknow Super Giants in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match on Tuesday (April 30).
The former Indian cricketer highlighted a notable contrast in Mumbai Indians' performance between the last IPL season and the current one. He pointed out that Mumbai managed to qualify for playoffs during the previous IPL season, despite the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, one of the most crucial players in MI squad.
However, this season, even with Bumrah's availability, Mumbai Indians failed to deliver, leading Pathan to attribute their struggles to poor on-field management by Hardik Pandya.
Pathan posted on X, "The team mumbai Indians that qualified last year didn’t had Jasprit Bumrah but this season they had his services. Still they are in this situation. Purely because the team wasn’t managed well on the ground. Too many mistakes by their captain Hardik Pandya. It’s the truth."

Here's how some fans reacted to Pathan's opinion on X...
Hardik Pandya played back to back finals as a Captain

Why don't you talk about someone who is burden on both Team India and MI?
MI had Jasprit Bumrah back in 2022 and guess what happened? They lost their first 8 games and finished at #10. Not even one tweet from you back then

Have some shame. You are either salty bcoz hardik is 10x better than you or you are getting paid for all this. "It's the truth"
This team in 2022 lost 8 matches straight while Hardik's team won the IPL. Surely MI was missed Hardik and was mis managed by captain. But MCD where was you that time? STop this unnecessary hatred for your personal satisfaction

A year before same Bumrah was available and they still ended up at the bottom of the table but under whose captaincy?

Hardik Pandya is a better all rounder than you any given day.

He won the trophy for Gujarat Titans as a captain so sit down with your agenda
Mumbai Indians (MI) almost out of IPL 2024 Playoffs race
With just four matches remaining in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season and a current record of 3 wins and 7 losses, Mumbai Indians' chances of clinching a playoff berth appear exceedingly slim. MI currently have 6 points. Winning all four games would help them attain 14 points, still two points less of the desired 16-point mark.
