In 2018, he scored 579 runs, a feat that remains unmatched. Riyan Parag follows closely with 573 runs from the middle order in IPL 2024. Rohit Sharma, who scored 538 runs in IPL 2013, is in third place, with Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik completing the top five.
Most Sixes by a non-opener in an IPL season
Rishabh Pant also holds the record for hitting the most sixes by a non-opener in an Indian Premier League (IPL) season, with an incredible 37 sixes in IPL 2018.
This record is yet to be broken, with Shivam Dube coming in second with 35 sixes for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2023. Rajat Patidar and Riyan Parag are also in the top five, while MS Dhoni stands at fifth with 30 sixes in 2018.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) secured him for Rs 27 crore, making him the priciest player in IPL history. Following closely in second place is Shreyas Iyer, who was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore.
