Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are set to announce their new captain for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at a special press conference at the RPSG headquarters in Kolkata on Monday (January 20), as per reports. The event is also expected to feature the unveiling of LSG's new jersey, with several players expected to attend.

Star keeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who became the most expensive player in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction, is widely anticipated to take over the leadership role. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) acquired Pant for a record Rs 27 crore during the November 2024 auction, showing great confidence in his abilities to guide the team to success.
