The Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) is just around the corner, the players are gearing up while the fans wait in excitement. Five-time IPL champion, Mumbai Indians will be eager to improve on their record from last year.
At the Auctions this year, MI built a relatively new squad. They bet highly on big hitter Tim David and bought him for INR 8.25 crore. The Singapore-born batsman became a sensation at the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Big Bash League (BBL). In PSL, David has a strike rate of 199.20. He is expected to play a key role in the Mumbai Indians middle-order.

The Mumbai Indians were well aware of Tim's ability to hit the ball hard, thus they didn't hesitate to put such a big price tag on the batsman. Tim David has played 89 T20s at a strike rate of close to 160.
