Can Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Qualify For IPL 2024 Playoffs? All You Need To Know

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have four games left on their schedule. They are set to face off against Punjab Kings in their next encounter, followed by matches against Gujarat Titans, RR and RCB.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL 2024 playoffs qualification scenario: Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) currently occupies the fifth position in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Points Table with 10 points, following their crushing seven-wicket loss to Punjab Kings on May 1.

With five wins and five losses in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 thus far, Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) current standing positions them at 5th spot, one place above Delhi Capitals (DC), in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Points Table.

In the ongoing IPL 2024 season, Rajasthan Royals have secured the top spot on IPL 2024 points table and are the sole team to have qualified for IPL 2024 playoffs so far. However, the battle for the remaining three playoff slots is still wide open. KKR stands out as a strong contender, having won six out of nine matches. To secure their playoff berth, KKR need to win in two of their remaining five matches.

How Chennai Super Kings (CSK) can qualify for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Playoffs

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have four games left on their schedule. They are set to face off against Punjab Kings in their next encounter, followed by matches against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) currently have 10 points from five wins. They need to win at least three out of their remaining four matches to get to 16 points. A team typically needs at least 16 points to qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs.

Lucknow (3rd position on IPL points table) and Hyderabad (4th position on IPL points table), both have 12 points from 6 wins and need to win at least two more matches to qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (5th position in IPL points table) will be hoping for Hyderabad to beat Lucknow when they lock horns in IPL, which would enable CSK to compete with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the coveted fourth spot. Notably, top four teams in IPL points table at the end of league stage, qualify for IPL playoffs.

However, if Lucknow Super Giants beat Kolkata Knight Riders before taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad, the equation will change.
