IPL 2024 Updated Points Table, Orange Cap & Purple Cap: Gujarat Titans (GT), winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and the runners up of IPL 2023, became the third team of the ongoing IPL 2024 to be formally eliminated from the playoffs race as the 63rd game of the tournament between GT and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bore no result as it was abandoned due to rain in Ahmedabad on May 13 and the points were shared. Persistent rain did not even allow the toss to happen at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Shreyas Iyer-led KKR, on the other hand, are confirmed to finish the league stage of the IPL 2024 amongst the top two teams in the IPL 2024. GT joined Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians as the teams to be eliminated from the IPL 2024. KKR sit atop the IPL 2024 points table with nine wins in 13 games, garnering 19 points with one No Result. Following them are Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the points table.
