Glenn Maxwell Excited For 'RCB Challenge' Ahead Of His Homecoming To Bengaluru

RCB Vs PBKS: As Glenn Maxwell returns to Chinnaswamy in different colours, here's what he thinks ahead of his homecoming. Read below.

RCB Vs PBKS: Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is all-set to make his return to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, but this time, in different colours, as the two-time ODI World Champions will be donning the shirt of Punjab Kings against his former side - Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

At the time of writing, rain has delayed the toss of the fixture, and Glenn Maxwell reflects on the fixture, as the Australian is looking to regain his form.

Punjab Kings are currently behind Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the points table due to an inferior Net Run Rate.

Here's What Glenn Maxwell Said Before The Match

Glenn Maxwell (PBKS):

"[On winning a low scoring thriller] It certainly instills a lot of belief in the group. We knew we weren't at our best with the bat but we realised that there was something there in the wicket that we could exploit. Defending a low total, you need a lot of things to go your way. A really good sign of things to come. Hopefully if we can keep those standards in the field and keep that energy going, hopefully it holds some good steak going forward."

"[Expectations in Bengaluru] Hopefully the rain goes away. With the rain over the last couple of days here, I feel the outfield is going to be a little bit soft and slow. It might not be as high scoring as we have known in the last few years but it'll be a really good contest. Small boundaries are always in the way for batters and you have to be on it with your skills as a bowler."

"[Personal form] A lucky thing about being an allrounder in the side at least a couple of strings to my bowling going really well. I feel like I've fielding and bowling really well at the moment and been able to keep my place in the side by doing those things right and really well. I'm sure the batting will join the party at some stage."

"It's just a little bit of luck going your way. I feel I've been a bit unlucky during this tournament. I probably should have reviewed the first ball of the tournament and then I guess things might have been different but I think just keeping a really good attitude and making sure I'm still upbeat and positive about it. You're constantly tinkering things in training. I've got some of the best sets of eyes watching me train and help me along the way so fingers crossed to turn around."
