Delhi Capitals Squad IPL 2024 - Full Player List, Auction Purchases, Remaining Purse

Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 Auction: Check below the complete list of players acquired by Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Auction.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the 2024 season kicked off at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on December 19 (Tuesday), witnessing an eventful day marked by substantial team investments. Delhi Capitals (DC), striving for their maiden title after six playoff appearances, are determined to make a potent squad for the IPL 2024 season, especially with Rishabh Pant's return to the forefront.

In the IPL Players Auction 2024, DC secured England's batter, Harry Brook, for Rs 4 crore. Previously released by SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) before the auction, Brook became the focal point of a bidding battle between DC and Rajasthan Royals.

DC's head coach, Ricky Ponting, expressed pleasant surprise at securing Harry Brook for INR 4 crore, considering his base price of INR 2 crore. Ponting remarked, "We got a couple of players we wanted. We were a bit surprised with Brook's price. Getting him for the price we did allows us to go for Indian players and a foreign fast bowler," in an interview with Star Sports.

Additionally, the Capitals also added South Africa's wicketkeeper, Tristan Stubbs, for INR 50 lakhs, following his release by Mumbai Indians ahead of the retention process.

Brook, having been purchased for INR 13.25 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) previously, couldn't replicate consistent performances in IPL 2023, despite batting in various positions.
