'Bhul Jao Yaar': Harbhajan Singh Steps In As Virender Sehwag Mocks S Sreesanth Over IPL Slapgate- WATCH

During an interaction, Sreesanth revealed that he used to hug Harbhajan before the start of a match as a ritual that even helped him do well in the games but Sehwag tried to mock the ex-India pacer.

The IPL Slapgate saga is one of the ugliest controversies that have hit the cash-rich T20 league. In the inaugural season the tournament Team India teammates S Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh, who were playing for Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab respectively, were involved in this incident. Sreesanth had reportedly said a few words to Harbhajan as he was pumped up on winning the game which seemed to have irked the off-spinner who slapped the pacer.

Visuals of Sreesanth crying had been captured on cameras and Harbhajan even had to face a ban for his behaviour. 15 years later the two have long resolved the differences between the two and can be seen hanging out with each other and even working with each other on the same expert panel or cricket show. However, the mention of the 2008 episode does not seem to desert them.

It was no different during a Star Sports show in which both were present along with other ex-India players. During a chat, Sreesanth revealed that he used to hug Harbhajan before the start of a match as a ritual that even helped him do well in the games. However, Virender Sehwag was quick to mock the Kerala Express as he said that this pre-match ritual might have started only after the infamous incident in Mohali to which Harbhajan intervened and said "Bhul Jao Yaar" which loosely translates to "Forget it guys."

Not too long ago, Sreesanth had opened up on the incident and said that he shares a good relationship with Harbhajan. He had said that the senior pro has always supported him and continues to support him in way of commentary tips. Sreesanth had mentioned that he is thankful to the Bhajji for his help.

Meanwhile, the ex-India spinner has also apologised and regretted his action and considers Sreesanth as a close mate now.
