New Delhi: The mega auction for the 15th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is still on. All 10 franchises shelled out crores on many uncapped players, while many veteran players got much less money than expected, and some unlucky ones did not get any buyer.
On the opening day of the IPL 2022 auction, all the teams spent a lot of money in, then on day 2, the teams were seen spending according to their budget/purse. Let's have a look at the list of players, who have been bought by the franchises at a much lower price than expected. The list also includes senior player Ajinkya Rahane, who has been under the scanner for his poor form.
Manan Vohra was bought by the Lucknow team for just Rs 20 lakh
Lucknow acquired Shahbaz Nadeem by bidding just Rs 50 lakh
Sandeep Sharma got less than expected. He was bought by Punjab Kings for 50 lakhs
Mumbai Indians acquired Mayank Markandeya for Rs 65 lakh
Krishnappa Gowtham has been bought by Lucknow Super Giants for just Rs 90 lakh. In the last season, he was bought by Chennai for 9.25 crores
Dominic Darkes has been roped in by Gujarat Titans for Rs 1.10 crore
Delhi acquired Mandeep Singh in the mega auction by paying Rs 1.10 crore
Despite being a senior player, Ajinkya Rahane was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for only 1 crore.
