IPL 2022: Rohit Sharma Gets Trolled For Posting A Tweet In Support Of Real Madrid

Mumbai Indians have been virtually knocked out of the race to IPL 2022 playoffs this season. They are almost out of the league stage of IPL 2022.

New Delhi: The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has been nothing less than a nightmare for Mumbai Indians (MI). The most successful franchise in the history of IPL has only lost this season. Mumbai Indians were crushed by KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), as they lost the match by 36 runs.

With this defeat, Mumbai Indians have been virtually knocked out of the race to IPL 2022 playoffs this season. They are almost out of the league stage of IPL 2022.

For Rohit Sharma, IPL 2022 has been quite disappointing both as a captain and batter. Rohit Sharma, who was made team India's full-time captain earlier this year, faced severe criticism due to his personal and team's poor performance.

Mumbai played their last match on 24th April. They will now play their next match on 30th April, so the team has a week's time to refresh itself.  During this, captain Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to post a tweet supporting his favorite football team Real Madrid ahead of their semifinal leg-1 match of the UEFA Champions League 2022 against Manchester City.

What made some trolls even more agitated was Real Madrid getting defeated by 4-3.

This year, Rohit Sharma scored 153 runs in 8 matches, without a single half-century.  During this, his average was 19.13 and strike rate was 126.45.
